The Quality Payment Program (QPP) has evolved through annual rule changes that affect the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) since its inception in 2017. As such radiology practices are faced with the burden of researching and interpreting the resources available outlining the rules of the program, rule changes such as category weighting, quality measure benchmarking, and MIPS eligibility criteria have added to the complexity of strategic planning. This presentation will focus on the front-end planning processes and resources that assist in gathering the MIPS information needed for analysis to formulate a strategic plan. It will also provide a templated sequence to show how QPP individual and group MIPS-eligibility status is determined, how to evaluate the published quality measure benchmarking against groups’ historic measure sets to ensure the opportunity to achieve the maximum scoring in the quality category.

• Navigate the critical resources needed to analyze the annual rules of the Quality Payment Program.
