Your Transition Team


One of the first concerns when making a billing change is “Will we lose money during the transition?” Your MBMS transition team is dedicated to making sure you don’t. Many of our client practices actually experience a one-time up turn in revenue due to the efficiency of our people and processes.

     Your Transition Team Will Also:
     • Satisfy practice and/or hospital system interface requirements.
     • Review and perform any credentialing needs.
     • Evaluate and make fee schedule recommendations.
     • Customize your billing parameters and cycles.
     • Install a dedicated toll-free telephone line for you and your patients
       to use.
     • Establish your database in our system.

Your Billing Team

A Billing Administrator and staff are assigned to each client. All are highly trained and experienced in charge entry, payment posting, denial management & patient relations.

     Your Billing Team Will Also:
     • Answer your patients’ calls, as you would want them answered.
     • Evaluate coding for accuracy and effectiveness.
     • Enter claims and post payments promptly and accurately.
     • Follow compliance policies.
     • Note denial trends and report back to you.
     • Prepare refund reports or actual refund checks for your signature.

Your Management Team


Each practice will also have a Regional Vice President assigned to oversee their account. Your Regional Vice President is responsible for your satisfaction with the services of MBMS and will closely monitor performance results in concert with the Billing Administrator for your account.

     Your Regional Vice President Will Also:
     • Schedule monthly meetings to review your month-end reports.
     • Participate in negotiations with your Managed Care carriers.
     • Provide updates on coding and legislative issues affecting your
       practice.

Our Services

MBMS offers complete billing and management services for hospital-based and office-based physician practices. It is immediately apparent that one of our greatest strengths has always been the close relationship we form with our practices. MBMS employees are assigned to specific practices under the supervision of a Billing Administrator. All employees feel responsible for the financial success of their assigned practice. Monthly, the Billing Administrator and Regional Vice President visit your practice to review the month-end results, payor issues, collections, refunds, payor contracts, credentialing needs, etc.

Our Technology

The capability and efficiency of the billing software is critical to the success of any billing company. MBMS utilizes software widely used in high volume, multi-facility, multi-specialty environments. It was developed and is still supported by a firm with an extensive background in physician billing.

MBMS computer system configuration used in the billing process is mainframe in nature. It provides for multiple users from multiple locations and is running on a PICK operating system that has been overlaid on LINUX.

Back up of our entire database is performed daily with appropriate safeguards and controls and accounts receivable processes are performed daily. We remain committed as a company to implementing new technology that results in improved operations and cost effectiveness.

MBMS is not publicly held and is without the need to focus on the return to shareholders. The focus of all senior management is on the needs of our clients, our continual improvement in operations, service levels and overall quality. We answer to the client, not a remote corporate entity with the unnecessary overhead and delay in responsiveness that it brings. Our philosophy continues to emphasize a customized, dedicated service level comparable to traditional “in-house” billing.
